History

Savcor Group was established in Finland in 1981 and has been delivering advanced corrosion control equipment and process improvement solutions to the pulp and paper since then. Solutions developed in the pulp and paper industry have provided the platform for the development of Savcor's core technology.

The company's ART division was established in Australia in 1995 following the acquisition of Remedial Engineering. In 2002 and in 2003 followed the acquisitions of Finn International and Corrpro Australia which had the same customer base. Pacific Lining Solutions Holdings Pty Ltd was acquired in October 2007.

In 1996 Savcor's FACE division commenced a project to industrialize the process for manufacture shielding components such as metallised plastic mobile phone shells. In 1998 Savcor commenced mass production supply of these components, the major end customer was Nokia.

The FACE China operations commenced in 2001 with the establishment of the Guangzhou manufacturing facilities and in 2002 with the new Beijing factory. Savcor acquired in 2003 Danish decorative etching company LK Engineering and in 2004 Swedish mobile phone flexible circuit antenna manufacturer Swedecal AB. Savcor transferred both technologies successfully to low cost manufacturing area, China.
