Hannu Savisalo, MSc (Metallurgy), CEO and Chairman

Hannu Savisalo established Savcor Group in 1981 and led the development of the company from a start-up operation to a business that had three core divisions and employed approximately 1,500 employees around the world inclusive of the FACE and ART divisions. He has driven Savcor Group's strategy since the company's establishment and has been integral to leading the integration of the various acquisitions that have been completed. He has relocated to Sydney to lead Savcor Group Ltd.
Hannu Savisalo was awarded the honorary title of Industrial Counseller by the President of Finland in 2004.

Iikka Savisalo, BBA (Accounting), Non-Executive Director

Iikka Savisalo has worked with Savcor Group since 1995 and has been closely involved in the company's growth by acquisition strategy. He has responsibility for Savcor's business development and mergers and acquisitions functions. Prior to taking on this role he was director M&A for the ART division and before that director consumer operations for the FACE division

Agu Kantsler, BSc (Hons), PhD, GAICD, FTSE, Non-Executive Director

Agu Kantsler joined the board on 1 September 2011 and comes to Savcor following a long career at Woodside Energy Limited where his most recent role prior to his retirement in 2010, was Executive Vice President – Health, Safety and Security. Prior to that he was Executive Vice-President Exploration and New Ventures, where he had responsibility for Woodside’s worldwide exploration, business development and geotechnical activities. Agu was also responsible for Occupational Health, Safety and Security at Woodside from early 2009 until retirement, being responsible for more than 16,000 field construction workers and more than 1,000 Woodside employees at eight major onshore and offshore production facilities.
Agu was a director of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) between 1996 and 2010 and was chairman of APPEA from mid 2000 to October 2002. He was a founding member of the Australian Government’s Council for Australian Arab relations (CAAR) until 2009 and more recently during 2008 to 2010 he was a member of the Energy White Paper High Level Consultative Group. Agu remains an Adjunct Professor of Geophysics at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia and in 2006, Agu was elected to the Fellowship of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) and is currently an independent director of Oil Search Limited.

Andrew Thompson-Jones, MConstrLaw, BEng, Non-Executive Director

Andrew Thompson-Jones joined the board on 1 July 2011. Andrew established his own consultancy thompsonandjones in 2010, since then managing successful major bids for clients such as John Holland; Abigroup; and Leighton Contractors. Prior to this, Andrew was engineering and commercial manager for Thiess from January 2008 to July 2010 and strategic development and engineering manager for Baulderstone from September 2005 to January 2008. Andrew has also worked in the United Kingdom as regional manager of Jackson Civil Engineering and has held other positions with Leighton Contractors; Abigroup; and Walter Construction in Australia. As a qualified civil engineer with a masters in construction law, Andrew brings a depth of experience and knowledge of infrastructure markets to the board.
