Structural Strengthening

During the life of a structure, because of changed loading conditions or structural degradation, strengthening of reinforced elements is necessary.

Savcor has considerable experience in strengthening using Fibro Reinforced Polymers (FRP) in both laminate and sheet form. Structural members such as beams, columns and slabs, can have their load carrying capacity increased considerably, without change to the appearance of the element.

Such adaptations are particularly interesting where new machinery needs to be installed on structures which are substandard in respect of strength and condition.
