Pipeline Integrity and Maintenance

Pipelines and vessels that are buried present a new set of problems from a corrosion perspective, the greatest one being the “out of sight, out of mind” view. Being buried in a soil can create an aggressive, corrosive environment and therefore it is critical that the corrosion protection applied to the structure is installed properly to minimise future maintenance costs.

Protective coatings and cathodic protection are the primary defence against corrosion on buried structures. For many years Savcor has been utilising its experienced corrosion engineers and technicians to protect these structures.

Savcor can provide a full range of pipeline services from cathodic protection, full technical diagnosis to coating defect surveys (DCVG surveys) to accommodate both new structures and in maintenance situations. Our pipeline product range includes sacrificial and impressed current anodes, corrosion probes, surge protectors, insulating joints, anode groundbed backfill and corrosion monitoring equipment.
