Savcor sponsored YuuZoo in Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race

Savcor is proud to have entered into a sponsorship arrangement with Big Boat Racing Team yacht “Tokolosh 2” - one of the seven maxi yachts that competed in this years prestigious Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

At 90 feet long, Tokolosh 2 is skippered by Ludde Ingvall and has been named “YuuZoo” for the race after its major sponsor. The yacht, previously called Nicorette has taken line honours before in the Sydney to Hobart race in 2004.

The sponsorship deal includes Savcor providing advice and support to understand the complex corrosion issues that may occur on YuuZoo. This is an excellent example of applying our technical corrosion knowledge and experience to the high technology world of maxi yacht racing.

YuuZoo finished seventh in line honour placings in the race.
